WHO WE ARE

We are made up of a group of dedicated volunteers that represent the strength of the community, its people. 28 active association members that also serve as 100% Volunteers for the Florence Township Fire Department. We work everyday to improve the quality of service provided, and are proud to serve this community as an association
of professionals who give so much back to the community.

 

The Florence Township Fire Department was founded in 1885 and has served the Edon area and surrounding communities since. The association was formally established with the adoption of a Constitution and By-Laws on January 1, 1970. The Association gained a formal 501 (c) (3) status on November 9, 2015. Our work to support our mission continued 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

WHAT WE DO

FTFA's MISSION

The Florence Township Firefighters' Association mission is to support the activities of the Florence Township Fire Department. This is done by providing training, fund raising, and volunteer support to protect the lives and property of our community and surrounding areas from fires, natural disasters, and emergency related incidents. We support saving lives by providing fire prevention and education programs and a work environment that focuses on our community family values.
